COPE
International-USA is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit dedicated to Creating Opportunities
through Partnership
and Education.
Our mission is to build sustainable indigenous
capabilities to ameliorate or resolve needs while acting in partnership
with governmental and nongovernmental organizations.
COPE does not
compete with or duplicate the efforts of other organizations. We are
action-oriented; we do not write glossy reports that will sit on a shelf; we do things.

We work with
developing democracies to build and put in place
locally-owned and operated,
self-supporting, self-sustaining, long-term capabilities that
create real jobs and at the same time address both national issues and the
genuine needs of people. We build systems in partnership with local people
and their governments. This is not charity; this is work. |

In 2001 we began a program to focus on emergency preparedness and response
within the USA. We design
solutions for companies, organizations and government agencies, and provide
reliable supplies at low cost so they may protect their employees and
staff and continue operations during emergencies. |

|
Recognizing that government programs have
resources and objectives that can be leveraged to address civilian as well as
governmental needs, COPE's Institute for Defense
Research Participation (IDRP) identifies, develops
and aligns public sector opportunities in the US with civilian,
academic and other communities.

We can develop and implement programs based on a
self-sustaining model. That means the programs fund themselves and do not
depend on handouts. Contact us.
We help you to prepare for emergencies. The Red Cross says you should
be ready to
function completely on your own for at least 72 hours. You
will be doing yourself a favor and reducing the burden on emergency
services, which typically are not able to respond substantially in the first
72 hours
following a disaster.
COPE
offers
the same preparedness items that we now provide to federal, state and local
governments and private sector organizations
to the public and at low cost. Click the tab at the top of this page for our online catalog.
COPE accepts donations both directly and via Network for
Good. 100% of these
donations go to support programs.
We spend none of the funds received from donations on overhead. Zero.
Our office space is donated by The Collins
Companies; almost all office equipment was donated; and we do not spend any
money on fundraising, advertising or promotional literature.
We think we can
make a difference.
We think you can, too.
